It's been a Monday...and it ain't over yet!
Nothing major happened...it's just first day of school blahs, we finished all our work by 9 AM, I worked on Himself's sweater (and buggered my wrist *again*, sigh), then got a surprise visit from the owner's son. Yippee. Joy. He's more boring than boring......and thinks he's witty. *sigh*
Good news is I got further on Himself's tractor sweater. The wheels are done, and now we are working our way up the body of the tractor. And the cornfield on the back. (This sweater was in Family Circle Knitting, I think in Spring 2002). This is #2; the first one just barely fits. I changed it to in the round (a la EZ) and, except for the intarsia, is going great.
I don't like intarsia. Give me cables any day, even AS cables! Intarsia is too "fussy" for me....and I don't get it. I try, but it doesn't look as nice as other types of knitting. I know I just need more practise...but I don't wanna practise!!!!*g*
Next up (when I finish this one) is a sweater with a butterfly on it for Herself...unless she's changed her mind *again*.
Oh, and I'm almost done with the kit quilt, too.....almost all the quilting is done (I could stop now, but I think I'll do a little bit more...just 'cause) and I just have about 6" left of the bottom border to whip stitch down. It's a nice quilt - both kids are arguing over who it belongs to. Guess I'll head back over to JoAnn's to get another kit......*g*
Ballet tonight....so that's it for today.
