*g* The Main Dallas store is the White Rock Weaving Center - she's a dealer for Louet, Ashford, and I think Schacht.
Granbury - Heritage Arts. Owned by 2 spinners (I won't snark. I won't...but a vendor should NOT bad-mouth a potential customer's favorite spinning wheel while said customer is standing in front of her. Especially not at a public demo, with non-spinners around listening. I'm just sayin'). They're Majacraft, Schacht, and Ashford dealers, if I remember correctly.
Geez - I'm drawing a blank. There used to be a shop out in N. Dallas, mostly yarn, but some rovings that dealt in Ashfords. There was an Angora Rabbit breeder out in Sunnyvale that sold...either Ashfords or Schachts. I've been sorta out of things for a few years, so I don't know if they're still around. There's a yarn shop in Oak Cliff/Dallas (not sure *where* they are, exactly) that is thinking about getting into spinning.
I'm out in Kaufman (my in-laws are in Ft Worth (McCart area) and I'm 66 miles from them), with NOBODY that does much fiber work. The Extension agent has found 3 other knitters so far....but it's pretty bleak out here. At the moment. We're working on it. *g*
Animals: 6 horses (1 stud, 1 colt, 3 mares, 1 blind pony), 3 gigantimus dogs (2 Pyrs, 1 Irish Wolfhound) and 4 goldfish. Also 2 kids. *g*
I don't want my own fiber animals, because then I'd be too busy with them to do any spinning/weaving/knitting. Besides, Kaufman is *full* of shephards (mostly down breeds and ANGORA Goats. Some Llamas and Alpacas)....and I'm trying to get in with them to take the (useless) wool off of their hands. Can you say "dye day"??? *gg*
Now, I'll be at the Games in Arlington (Maverick Stadium at UTA, first weekend in June) with my wheel and something bright. I'll also be at the Celtic Festival in Bedford (where the above snark happened) the first weekend in October....if you feel like ogling Scotsmen and talking fiber. *g*
