So, Bedford is nigh. Specifically - the Bedford Celtic Festival. 2 days of small highland games and even smaller kilt-sightings.
Last night I got my spinning basket packed:
4 oz of wool - I think it's merino or merino/silk. Lovely, water-y colorway. Should spin up fine to froghair weight.
Extra drive band cotton
Business Cards - both clan and fiber
Clan info pack - I'm not sure if our Regional will be there; if not, I'm "in charge" (snort, snicker) of the tent
Inkle loom - need to warp it tonight. Requested colors are bright...not so sure on that. I'm thinking some pastel cotton with a solid color in a pattern weave....we'll see.
learn to spin stuff - a few toy wheel spindles and
ugly loud wool
I'm thinking I need to dig out some more wool for me, but we'll see.
Tonight I need to pack the kids suitcase (they're staying with my mother this weekend), wax the Saxony, iron my garb (gotta decide on *what*, first), and iron J.'s garb. Tomorrow is date night, so won't have time then. I need to find time to bake a loaf of bread, pick up some sandwich fixin's, and bake ~something~ for a dessert. Hmmm........we'll see. Maybe *buy* dessert.
Back to work for me!
JB might not be there? Have I missed an email somewhere? *confused*
and I won't be there on Sunday... My brother's coming up for the weekend and this is the first chance I really get to see him, so... *shrug* G's a big boy, he can handle it for one day. Bedford's slow enough and he's done it before.
I get to debut the B.A.T.! YAY!! now to just get the skirts out to go with it. whee!! Cold weather... yummmm!
If her mom isn't better, she won't be there. At this point, I don't know one way or the other.
G. can handle the tent - if he stays there. *g* I'll probably end up doing double-duty.....BTDT. No biggie - as you say, Bedford is...dead.
B.A.T.? 'splain, please!
Yeah... that's IF G decides to stay around the tent. We won't talk about M.
B.A.T. - Big Ass Tartan. AKA, The Piper's Plaid that Russell sent me this summer. it's all cleaned and the pleats have been picked out and pressed smooth. I can't wait to wear it. I won't even be bringing out the Jezebel Cloak!
Have fun! I wish I could go but I can't be in two places at once. I will be in Ok teaching and taking classes. Right now I am ingaged in much the same activities as you described in your post.
*pout* Oh, well - you won't be missing much, as Bedford is small and dead. You'll probably have more people in your classes then I'll see all weekend (no joke!)
Have fun, and Good Luck!!
