Our icemaker broke a couple of months ago. It makes ice fine, but the in-door delivery system sucks. You know you're in trouble when you try to fill up a glass with ice and you get a spring, a nail-looking thing and some black metal object.
Our refrigerators are almost the same, save for the color. Ours is a little smaller than yours, but the icemaker parts should be the same. Oh, and it wasn't covered by our warranty, which is why we haven't fixed it yet. Grrr.
Sears has been out 3 times on this icemaker....1x to replace the compressor (why, I have no clue), 1x to "fix" it, and 1x to "replace" the entire unit.
It is now, once again, refusing to make ice. J. has taken it out, unfroze it, put it back, pulled it out, beaten it, reinstalled it..and this morning, after 1 week of this, we had *1* cube of ice in it.
I need to send them a check so I can get a new icemaker....*g*
