in this case, I really, REALLY wish I didn't have pictures!
The Family room, as they were ripping up the floor. If you look close, you can see that the pad is darker - it's wet. SOPPING wet.
Hallway between the kids' rooms......the floor is all gone. You can just see Himself's room......everything is now shoved to the middle of the room, stacked on top of itself.
The fans. We had 25 of them in the house.....7 in the kitchen alone. Which shares a wall with the Master Bedroom. There were also 3 dehumidifiers.......thankfully, they all got pulled out Tuesday afternoon. (The holes in the bottom of the wall? Are to help dry out the sheetrock. Fun times!)
This is the current state of the family room.....the rest of the house is pretty much the same. NOTHING is against the walls, everything is piled in the middle of the room......the pods are supposed to be delivered tomorrow. A crew of 5 (or 7) will be here Monday to start packing and loading them...then we get to figure out what we're going to do. The Adjuster is SUPPOSED to come out today......finally.
We do know *everything* is covered. We will get new floors (I'm leaning towards linoleum, now.....) and at least bottom cabinets/countertops (because I can't see removing the bottom cabinets without damaging the countertops. I just...don't think that's possible. Maybe it is? We'll see.)
We still don't know about the Master Suite. I am HOPING the water didn't come up under the cabinet wall, but....I can smell "wet". On the one hand, no, please -NO damage! On the other....new floors! Huzzah! :sigh:
On the positive side, I bought paint for the kids' rooms yesterday, and plan on starting that this afternoon/tomorrow morning. Why not? There's no floors to worry about :sob: and there's nothing against the walls right now....so.......:small smile:
I just want my house back! The Studio is nice, but it isn't really large enough to actually LIVE in (well, not with all my weaving and sewing stuff in here, it isn't!) Plus...no bathroom. And no room for us AND the dogs......
Ah, well.....this, too, shall pass. Soon, I hope!
