I'm rather pleased with the way it turned out. Especially the door going into the house.....*g*
Plied 2 bobbins of Shetland this AM before work - I needed the bobbins for tonight's ballet class. It looks nice - now to ply the last 2, wait for my swift (c'mon Alden!! I'm getting impatient! *g*), then wind them into balls, measure the warp, and dunk it into the dyepots.
Speaking of dye pots, I did some dyeing last night. The green dye hadn't all exhausted, but I went ahead and dumped the wool out anyway. I'll rinse it with synthropol tonight in the washer, and spin spin spin it. It'll hopefully be dry by this weekend...but if today is any indication, that's out. (It's State Fair time - that means Rain!) Ah, well, I can always bring something else to spin - and I have my rug clean and ready to set my lovely lady on. (My AA does Not sit on bare ground - heaven forbid! You don't spin with shoes on, either!) It'll be fun even if it's damp (we're under a tent, so it doesn't matter to me!)
I had to make an appointment for another EEG (EOG? ECG? whatever) today. It's the test where they stick little needles in all your nerve nodes (in my case, on my left arm), then, while your arm looks like it had a run-in with a pissed-off porcupine, they take measurements and draw arcane symbols on your skin with sharpie markers, then they zap you with electricity and moniter the response time. Fun stuff! It's in 2 weeks...the good news? I can't have any cortisone injections until after the test. Yee Haw!! That stuff is making me sick. They are testing a different nerve this time, so hopefully they will figure out why I am in so much pain. 3 surgeries, 1 cyrogenic nerve block, and 10 cortisone injections should have pretty much killed any nerves in my wrist, yes?
Herself had a rough morning - I had to take away something from her at the daycare, and she had a meltdown. I had given her the Concerta, but I had waited a bit so she'd still be feeling it at ballet tonight. I forgot it takes a good 30 minutes to hit the bloodstream. *sigh* Ah, well.....let's hope she has a good day at school anyway.
Himself is normal - this weekend he decided it was his job to make *my* bed. I think it's because it's fun to hop and walk on the waterbed, but whatever - I didn't have to do it, and he had fun. *g*
Back to work now!
