and I am listening to my Sweet Geek make "music" on his (rented) violin. He added the bow today - I am giving him advice, but it's gonna take a LOT of practise to actually be able to call this "music". At least he hasn't killed any cats, yet. (I am DREADING the day (which is soon to be here) that the kids get to add the bow. :shudder:) Hey - I went thru this stage, and made it safely to the other side; the least I can do is patiently listen to these 3 budding violinists, right?
Got the post put in for the new coop - it got too hot to put up the wall yet. I'll go out sometime this week and install the hangers for the 2x4s. Still need to get 2 12' sheets of R-panel, and 3 12' 2x4s. We also got 1 sheet of tin up on the goat barn....:sigh:
Paypal refunded most of the funds from the MIA cream seperator...but the one I wanted to order is out of stock indefinatley. I am getting the message that maybe I'm not supposed to have goats....the fact that the ground where the goat barn is (which is fertile, and grassy, and pretty) is Hard-as-a-rock and takes HOURS for the Kubota to dig a 2' hole, while Sweet Geek knocked out the hole in the chicken run (solid dirt, hard packed by the hens) in less than 15 minutes. The fact that the lumber yard is continuouosly out of 6x6s, and they have no 12' R-panels......I dunno. I just keep thinking that, much as we want 'em, maybe we're not supposed to have them.
Good thing we skipped NASA this weekend, too - Sweet Geek's aunt's A/C went out. Yes, we could have called service from Houston just like we did from here...but had we gone to Houston we couldn't have afforded the repairs.
Aaaannnnd - we just successfully played "Mary had a little lamb" with the bow! I must go critique now.
