Yesterday hit 103*. It was hot, slightly hazy, but clear skies most of the day. Until 4-ish, that is.
About 4:45 or so, Sweet Geek told me it looked like rain (he was ahead of me; he'd gotten off early to pick up horse feed). I looked; yes, it was dark, but no clouds, it was still 103*, and still. I kept on.....there was this really really ODD cloud formation off to my left; it looked something like a large dust cloud - not enough formation to be tornadic (plus the sky was still blue. Usually, tornados bring icky greeny-gray skies with them). Huh. Lightening....OK this is weird. I look at the thermometer - in 15 miles the temp dropped *20* degrees!
I got home first (he stopped to take photos)......light rain. I run in, grab my Aussie coat and hat, put them on, grab his, and go back into the garage to wait for him. I notice some small, white *things* hopping around.....I look closer - those weren't bugs, they were HAIL. Ping-pong ball sized. A LOT of it.
He got home, put the truck in the garage (he had grain - the Jeep could survive outside, but the grain didn't need to get wetter), and we watched the hail for a bit.
Weird, weird weather. I'm waiting for a large earthquake, a blood moon, and a massive solar eclispe. (Per Revelation, if you wanted to know)
Himself ate broccoli last night with no complaints...so we won't have any more weird combinations (tacos just aren't Right with Broccoli!) We'll see how long it lasts.
We watched the first episode of "Eureka" last night...it's....different. We'll see how long I can stick with it...
