It's raining, it's pouring....

and it's pitch black and icky out. We need the rain, though, so I am NOT complaining! This will help keep the ants outside where they belong, and the grass green, and the horses fat and happy.

I am on a Jane Austen kick...I must confess that I have *never* read any of her works...until yesterday. Just finished "Sense and Sensibility" (I had seen the movie, so wanted to start with something I was familiar with, just in case)....if I ignore the long, run-on, full of extraneous words sentances, it's enjoyable. Slightly fluffy, but hey - that's OK. Sometimes fluff is good - right now, it's about all my brain can handle. Hit Half Price Wednesday; bought "Sense and Sensibility", "Persuasion", "Mansfield Park", "Emma", "Pride and Prejudice" and 2 biographies (1 by her nephew). That ought to keep me busy for a week or so...

Elul began last night at sundown. It's a time of rejuvenation, repentance, and renewed focus on God. So.....that's what I'm doing. If I have offended you in any way over the past year, I'm sorry. I'm trying to forgive, myself - I'd like to come to RH with a clean conscience.
