and I'm at home, cranking out socks. Have 2 pair done (except for the toe closing), and 1/2 of another. Want to get 3 more pair done today...but we'll see. I'm getting tired of cranking!

This pair is out of the Cashmere blend. It's so Soft....there are *clouds* that aren't as soft as this yarn! The sock feels soft and cushy.....I'm thinking I'll need them tomorrow, since they are predicting 3" of snow. :snerk:

Himself is doing just fine and dandy. Stinker. We're monitoring the milk situation......I feel like that's the problem. Only time will tell.

The first pair of socks I did was out of the Noro Silk Garden. Gah - I HATE that yarn! I really hope it softens up in the wash - the yarn felt plasticy and icky. The sock machine didn't like it, either - it's not evenly spun. The colors are really gross.....the photo showed blues and greens. It has them...but it also has yellows, pinks, oranges, and reds. They...well, they don't match, which is fine with me, but the colors are really ugly. Still....silk.

Need to get on Sweet Geek's cardigan......but want to get these socks done, too. I *need* socks. He *needs* his sweater...

Noro yarns do improve with washing.

The colours are either faaaaaaabulous or WTF?!?!!!

Knitting with the yarn is not a fun experience (the nasty feel, the thick and thin, the knots -- with massive breaks in the colour sequence). But the socks, after a washing or two, are wonderful. I have 2 pair of Kuryeon and one of Silk Garden and I love them. But I don't know why I insist on making more...

Glad to hear that it improves with washing. There was only 1 knot in this one - and it ended up on the tail I'll be using to graft the toes. The unevenness is what got me - this isn't cheap yarn! I expect a little bit more...consistancy with the pricey stuff than I do with the cheap stuff.

The colors on this ball are definately in the WTF camp! I mean, I LIKE bright socks. Loud doesn't bother me....but these? Are neither loud nor bright. They're......odd.

I have a ball of Kuryeon to try.....it'll be a while. I need to get over the icky-ness of this pair, first.
