I live 7 miles from the San Andreas...there is actually a place where you can drive through the mountains and park off the side of the road and look at the huge crack running though the mountain..it goes forever - that is the san andreas.
The good news is I am 7 miles on the east side..not the ocean side. Still the idea of my house getting launched 20 feet in the air, I mean - you can only prepare for so much. My husband thinks I am a nutter. I have all kinds of things tucked away, and I always feel under prepared.
My husband was a pre-wrath rapture believer for a long time...but I don't buy it.
Mostly because of Rev 14:12 Patient endurance on the part of the saints...I can't imagine why you would need ptient endurance if you are hanging out in paradise or swept away to some comfy place. Course maybe there are just a few saints here or there..but how do you know what group you will be in. I would rather be prepared to be a patient saint.
Living in So Cal you are always thinking about the possibility of The Big One and there is just as much chance as not that we will have a major earthquake with out it being the end of the world yet.
wow that is a long comment...sorry bout that!
I don't mind long comments - I learn from them!
I...yeah. There's numerous places in Rev. that says things like that "this is when the Saints need to hold on/have Faith/endure". WHY - if the church is right and we're whooshed outta here, why would we be told to Hang on in there? (I mean, yeah - this could refer to those who come to believe AFTER...but....)
Of course, I HOPE we're outta here...but I have to plan like we're here during the whole thing.
