Hoo-ray for baby goats!!
I have one due any day now - I am about to go check on her now.
I can't wait till we have a fridge full of sweet creamy goats milk again.
So you are starting with 5 goats in milk this year? Good thing you knit..
Yeah. The 2 Nubians are for the "real" dairy. What we get from the 2 Cashmere and the CashmerexNubian cross will be "extra"....the breeder says we should expect at least a gallon a day (or 8 pounds, if you want to be technical. :lol:) from each one.....I'm thinking we'll be lucky to get 1/2 gallon a day from the 3...which is STILL a lot of milk!
And I hope I haven't bit off more than I can chew here......

that is almost 20 gallons of milk per week.
I was quickly running out of space when I had four gallons of milk per week.
