Annie has a Love Lee Udder!
My nubian is giving OVER a gallong of milk a day.
No kidding and my hand HURT when I am done milking.
Her teats kinda point to the side and aren't very long so it is some work to milk her.
My nigies - one has a nice udder like Annie - but she only gives me a quart per day. One has an udder with super tiny teats - also givnig almost a quart per day.
My girl who lost her babie sis still not producing much milk...kinda bummed about that, but her daughter - the half angora...she has an UGLY udder...I gotta get pictures today for you and put them on my blog.
But she is crazy easy to milk. So sometimes ugly udders are okay.
The "milkability" is what counts.

I am JEALOUS of your Nubian! A gallon!!!! I can hope that Annie will up her production next year, but honestly? I'm happy with the half-gallon. Since I have Mocha, too.

My beef with "ugly" udders is the damagability. I'm worried that Dewey's gonna rip hers on something (the goat yard is clean, but accidents happen!) her's is the worst one we have.

It takes us almost 30 minutes of solid work to milk out Rosa. Painful to me, too!

okay I made a page so you can see what I get to deal with.

I put little explinations - I didn't really do side views - just rear views and teat in hand shots to show the size of the teats compared to each other.

Oh my goodness! HOW do you manage to milk Sasha? Those itty-bitty teats! Or Venus?? Xandy's look a lot like Rosa's - only slightly shorter.

Jay-Lyn's could be worse. Annie doesn't have a pocket - she has a small indention right in the middle front. Not a large one, and it doesn't seem to affect anything.

I'm in awe of your milking abilities!
