The doc's office is in a strip of stores......there's an antique store right down the strip. We went in....BIG mistake. BIG. They had just gotten in an Estate.......we were OK; I had found some nice placemats and an owl potholder (for coworker). We went to pay....and somehow or another they found out I knit. "OH! Did you see the box of knitting stuff we just got in?" :bangs head:
Needless to say, it came home with me. I haven't done a proper inventory yet...but for $50 I got at least 20 cable needles/stitch holders, a full film canister of stitch markers, at *least* 20 circulars, at least 20 pairs of straights, some DPNs, 10 or 15 crochet hooks, 2 pattern books for knitted afghans, 1 crochet pattern book, 1 "learn to knit" book (from the *50s*!) and a copy of the 4th printing of "101 Ways to Improve Your Knitting" by Barbara Abbey.
I think I did good..... A little pricey-er than I wanted to pay, but not too bad for all that. They had a bunch of yarn, too - all acrylic, and all white (Herself declared it "OK", so I didn't bother.) I'm happy with it - now I have more give-away needles!
Gotta get stuffs ready for the Sabbath - see ya on the flip side!
