sorry the boys have it this year - I know people have been complaining about it - but you know it is always Divine providence. We have heard that the price of hay will double - it is already about $18 a bale in the feed store here (usually $10-13)and that is *if* they have it - quite a few times they have been without. That is due to the stuff in Japan and Mid East happening. It is easier to eat boys than girls - and we might get to that point in due order. Even if you don't eat him - might be easier to sell him to someone else who wants to. Even though I have cute little nigies I am well aware they could become cute little dinners because I am not feeding any pet $20-25 bales of hay.

I'm hoping to sell him - he's really well-bred, and I'd hate to eat him, but if he doesn't sell, he's GOT to go in the freezer. We can't keep him. :sigh:

I don't want to hear that about hay.....Sudan is cheap-ish, but I couldn't afford it if the prices double.
