I was reminded of some sort of commercial when you listed the costs of homeschooling. Yes, you spent money, but the education your children will now get is priceless. How wonderful for them, and for you.
I'm also proud of your daughter, with her donation of her origami cranes for Japan relief, and I congratulate her on the Grand Champion for her watercolor pencil drawing. I hope the auction is a success for her.
PS -- I got my egg candler yesterday. It's nice; thank you for the link.
Hey - you're welcome! I like to share links - saving money is always good!
And THANK YOU - I always feel..odd laying out what I've spent. In this case, I felt like I needed to - because when I lurk on some Homeschooling sites, it seems like a lot of people (not all, but a lot) spend BIG bucks each year, per kid. I.....I can't do that. (One discussion was that you should expect to spend $300/year PER SUBJECT, per kid. Ummmm......no can do. That would make homeschooling out of reach for a LOT of people, you know?)
We are SO Chuffed about her drawing! I have photos - I need to upload them. I also have photos of the crane donation.....I need to get those in the mail today.
