First up, the depressing one. Here's what's left of our pool:
Still waiting to hear from the adjustor - think I'll have to call them today. :sigh:
Anyway, moving on....
The finished "school" wall hanging:
It needs to be pressed, but I'm happy with how it turned out. SG picked the sashing and border, and I like how the green "pops" against the paint. I hope it'll help Herself with the whole school thing!
I'm working on the Sabbath wall hanging - here it is, on the bed being pinned to the batting and backing:
This was the most complicated quilt I've ever done, and I'm pleased with how it turned out (wonky corners and all!). It's pretty big, and I LOVE how the colors work together. I'm using the scraps from this to make placemats to match. :nods: Why not? I like matching stuff, and I've been wanting a special Sabbath table set...so, here we go. I need to drag the machine back out to sew up the mats, but I'm in no rush.
And, Ali - this is for you :giggle:
This is our first week's schedule. This is *my* page - I print each of the kids their own schedule. I'm pretty happy with it...wish the program would do a bit more, but hey - I'm *organized*! I can do this! I probably need to go back and add a few notes for me, but I can live with this. I can see everything we need to do at a glance, it's not too cluttered, and I can *read* it.
Supposedly, I can "bump" assignments to a new day if something comes up, but I haven't tried that yet. I can pre-set holidays, so that no assignments can be entered (which is a HUGE help!) - but I can't say that on week 2, this subject gets done every day instead of MWF. It either shows up MWF only, or it shows up everyday. :sigh: Ah, well - it's easier on me than the paper schedule I was using! (And - I can copy assignments, IF I can find the week I first input them. HST is easier in that regard, I think.)
Anna, I got the book! Thank You!!! I'm going to dive in tonight, I hope - it looks interesting. I need to get to the Post Office for you and Ali......I have no car today (SG's truck was dead this AM. Not sure why....ah, well - I gotta hang around here for the adjustor anyway.)
Need to get some "real" work done....SG brought me home a big stack Friday. We'll see...I am unmotivated right now. :sigh:
