School: Himself will be DONE with Singapore 6B by Friday, meaning he'll start their middle/high school series next week. The same series Herself is in (Ch. 4) I foresee him bypassing her pretty quickly......this is going to get interesting.
Dusty: Seems to be doing better. We went to the Farmer's Market yesterday, and picked up a 2 lb bag of baby carrots. They're a little...squishy...for my taste, but I didn't buy them for *us* - I bought them to tempt Dusty's appetite. It worked - he's scarfed down half the bag! :whew: I'm still worried about him - his age is a HUGE factor here - but he's acting like he feels better.
Sewing: I finished top #6 - you know what, pictures make things better.
This is the first blouse made from pattern #2. It's too big....but I "fixed" it. This is the front:
And this is the back:
You can see the “tab” I added to the back to gather it up and make it fit better. It’s not perfect, but it’s better – and I like it.
Here’s #6 –
Just the front – I hadn’t hemmed it when I took the photo. It fits MUCH better, and I LOVE the colors. We’ll see if I still love it after wearing it – the green one I thought I would love….but on, it feels like a muu-muu and the colors are weird to me. Ah, well – I still like it!
Herself has gotten the bug again. We had found some awesome fabric at Wal-Mart, but they only had 1.25 yards…..at the Outlet, I found a bolt of similar, but not exactly the same fabric (same pattern, but the background on the first bit was blue, this bit it’s magenta). She’s making a bolero-style jacket out of the magenta:
(It’s NOT PINK!, she says. :snicker:)
Coworker's Mother had a stroke yesterday. Any prayers would be HIGHLY appreciated, by both me and Cynthia.
