Running around again...

the kids got some money for X-mess, and wanted to go spend it. Since I had already declared today a holiday, we headed out early. Himself wanted to visit Toys R Us, and Herself wanted to go to JoAnn' I knew we were in for a LONG day. :giggle:

Wasn't too bad.....I got some 100% cotton thread for my current project, Herself got some glow-in-the-dark paint, and Himself got a set of Sonic characters. AND they both have $$ left over, so it's good.

We hit the meat market - lately, whenever I've had extra $$, I have the urge to go there. I am now stocked on ground meat...but I need a few more steaks and roasts (they were out of almost everything, but the lady said I was nuts when I said it'd be worse next year, thanks to the drought-sales. We'll see....)

I've got the urge to learn watercolors, so we'll be working on that in school soon. Also pastels.....Anna had linked to "Nana's Pastel Lessons"...but I'm not impressed, and she doesn't actually *teach* anything. (For example, she tells you to "fist in" the colors to blend them.....ummm. Not really how it's works, but it's MESSY. A rag works MUCH better - or a finger. NOT the whole fist.) We'll see how it goes.

Gotta run - got some sewing to do!
