1. My husband, who is a good sport. He had no problem with me getting rid of all leaven last night, even though Passover isn't until Friday. (What I find interesting: Jesus fulfilled Passover on a FRIDAY...and this year? Same thing, even though the early church changed things so that Passover would NEVER fall on the same day as Good Friday/Easter. So...this is an odd duck, as they say.) ETA I was reading Lev. 23; the FIRST day of Matzah (Unleavened Bread) is a Shabbat. Not a "normal" Shabbat - ie, Friday evening/Saturday - but a *special* Shabbat, a day of No Work. First Fruits is the 2nd day of Matzah; the 3rd day after Pesach. Unleavened Bread doesn't reset the weekly calendar; rather, it's an extra Shabbat for Adonai. I thought this was cool - because the word "Shabbat" is used in different ways. Too cool! It's the same for Rosh Hashanah; the first day of the 7th month is another special Shabbat - not necessarily the normal weekday one. It's a day of total rest, again, as is Yom Kippur, and the first and last days of Sukkot. I never really thought about it before....this is interesting to know!
2. NOVA started a new series yesterday evening: The Elements. Himself is doing a basic Chemistry course, and we're learning the Periodic Table. It's on again today at 1, and again at 6 - so we'll be able to catch it by ourselves, AND with SG. That's cool!
3. Herself gave Snips a bath this morning.....I am glad *I* didn't have to do it! We need to figure out how to get the Big Dogs into the tub....but Snips was the smelliest.
Still no news on the contractor. He called last night, yes....SG asked WHY his guys didn't show up, and Mike "had to go - I'll call you tomorrow". :sigh: I've got all my records...and SG is going to get a quote to finish the job so that we have it in hand when/if we go talk to an attorney. I don't want to go there, but.....we paid good money for a job that's not being done.
