It's a BEAUTIFUL morning! - Random babblings of a fiber-obsessed nutcase

About It's a BEAUTIFUL morning!

We had fog this AM. Thick, rich, gray fog - it cleared off long enough for us to milk, then rolled back in until about 9:30. It was lovely!

Been a busy morning. School, of course - but I also swapped out our (cheap) wire printer stand for the nice (but old) wooden one SG got from his work about.....4 months or so ago. It's been in his shop to be refinished...but keeps getting pushed to the bottom of the list. *I* think it looks fine - so now we have a nice piece of furniture in here.

The kids and I just got back from hanging the "screen" door on the doe barn. About 2 years ago we got a whole bunch of stuff from SG's warehouse that closed - among which were 2 chain-link "doors" (6' tall x 3' wide. Not gates - DOORS.) 1 has been installed on the buck pen; the other has been propped in front of the doe barn. We've had to manually lift and move it every. single. time we go to the barn - and I've had enough. I couldn't find the proper hinges - so I took the metal strapping we have and made hinges. Pretty? No - but I can now swing the door out of the way. :beams:

I made it to page 29 of that pdf.....I need to get back to it, but I keep running into little things that are wrong. Yes, you CAN take Truth out of falseness...but a little bit of leaven spoils the loaf, no? The big red flag for me is the whole 8-day week thing - I can't find ANYWHERE that substantiates that. :sigh: Still....I can read anything, even drek, so I'll keep slogging away.

I just finished the 4th repeat of my sock - this is good, and FAST for me! I LOVE the colors - "Stormy Sea" (my favorite combo of Purple/Teal/Blue. :mmmmmmm:) I'm almost at the heel - and I LOVE how it's turning out. :happy dance:

My dad came over yesterday. It was nice - we hadn't spent a lot of time together in a while.

Gotta reboot laundry and get back to work-work. Laters!
