1. MIL is...well, she is. Some days she's better than others. The dialysis doctor told her that she's on dialysis for the rest of her life.....which we had NOT told her. :sigh: Still, it's now out in the open and we can start working on her attitude towards it. (Uphill battle, but what do you do?) Thursday was a Bad day; Saturday she was almost normal. The nurses say she's doing OK.....
2. FIL is home; the kids are "babysitting" him. He needs it. Himself is the official receptionist; FIL refuses to answer the phone if he doesn't recognize the number. There are a LOT of people calling now to set up PT appointments, home health visits, etc......none of which he would have any way of recognizing. :sigh: He also can't remember what they do to him/for him when they're there, so both kids have been instructed to be nosy. I can't help if I don't know what's going on, and I simply can't be there every day, all day.
2a. The kids are NOT allowed to ride with FIL if they have a choice. He's easily distracted.....and I really don't want them hurt. :big sigh:
3. For mental health, I've started another 1950's Diamond Dress. What? The JoAnn's near the IL's had some "Starry Night" fabric, and it was 30% off. I've spent most of the day carefully laying out my pattern 1 piece at a time; I need to do my best to pattern match it at the center front and center back. :fingers crossed:
I'm trying to decide if I want to swim tonight or not. Sounds funny, huh? But it's so bloody hot....I'm not sure I want to go OUT in it, even if it is to swim. :sigh: Guess I'll do some more cutting....I need a new dress. They're all I want to wear in this heat, and even though SG bought me 4 little knit dresses at Wally-world, I prefer woven cotton to sleazy knits. However, in this heat? I'm not picky.
