but it's been busy around here. Saturday was an emergency Ikea run (#4 in a week, if you're keeping count!) because we managed to totally bork Himself's bed, to the point that even HE wanted a new one. :sigh: He now has a nice, new Brusali bed to go with his "new" room. We have a new command center - sort of. We have the center console and 1 side desk; the other side desk was - again! - too long. We're going to put that one in SG's shop (in the office area upstairs) and pick up a nice filing cabinet for the Command Center. I have a laptop, so it's no biggie - I don't "need" a desk.
My kitchen is 90% done! I *think* I'm just about all unpacked - I'm just missing the milk jars. Today I've got the area where the micro hood was almost tiled; I just have to tile the bar area we tore out, then SG will put the bar top on and the trim, and we will be DONE with the kitchen!!!!! (have a few more: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
My goal of being completely unpacked? Yeah - not happening. :sigh: Still - the Music room is at 90%, the living room is at 85%......so we're close. There's about 50 boxes left (maybe a few more....but I don't think so. I honestly think it's less, but better to overestimate, right?)...so it's getting there.
I've actually been COOKING!! And I excavated the kitchen table, so we can actually EAT at the TABLE, y'all! :happy dance: And my Studio is empty of kids (but not cleaned up/set up. Later. House FIRST.)
Today the new stove is being delivered. And my Jeep is dead. :sigh: It looks like the fuel pump; Monday we ran out..somewhere. We stopped at Dairy Queen for Blizzards; when we got ready to leave the starter kept..starting. Turned it off, back on and it was fine. Today...the starter started, but the engine immediately died. AAA towed it to Firestone.....hopefully they'll get it up and running before Friday. Gotta go pick up my girl!
Ah, well - today I have a roast in the crock pot and the kitchen smells divine. The tile work looks good, if I do say so myself. And I can see the light! Soon my house will be almost normal - we still have to do the Master Suite, but that should only take 3 weeks or so. I can deal with that....right? Right.
